Job Description:

We are seeking a driven and technically adept Sales Professional to join our team at Melchers Thailand. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record in selling or promoting analytical instrumentation and solutions within the Food & Beverage and Animal Feed processing industries.

This role requires a solid grasp of both the technical applications—such as chemical and physical property analysis, rheology, and NIR (Near Infrared) spectroscopy—and a deep understanding of customer needs in the F&B and Feed space. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying growth opportunities, building trusted relationships, and strategically expanding our market presence.

Key Responsibilities

Sales (& Business Development)

  • Drive revenue by actively promoting analytical solutions tailored to the F&B and Feed sectors, ensuring the achievement of individual sales targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, accounts, and market segments aligned with Melchers Thailand’s strategic growth objectives.
  • Prepare and execute go-to-market plans and strategic sales initiatives in collaboration with the Division Head.


Application Consultation & Solution Selling

  • Engage in technically sound discussions with customers to understand their processes and propose suitable solutions based on application requirements, especially involving:
    • Chemical and physical composition analysis
    • Rheological measurements
    • Near Infrared (NIR) spectroscopy and similar technologies
  • Leverage hands-on application know-how to translate complex technical topics into compelling customer value.


Customer Relationship Management

  • Establish and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders across technical, quality, and production departments of F&B and Feed producers.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, supporting clients beyond the point of sale with insights, training, and application assistance.


Market Intelligence & Strategic Input

  • Analyze trends, customer requirements, and regulatory developments within the Thai F&B and Feed processing industries.
  • Monitor competitive activity and contribute to the continuous evolution of Melchers Thailand’s product and service offerings.


Qualifications and Skills

Education & Backround

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Engineering, or Business with technical acumen.
  • Additional training or certification in analytical technologies, process instrumentation, or related fields is a plus.


Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in technical sales or business development, ideally in the analytical instrumentation or lab equipment segment for F&B or Feed manufacturing.
  • Practical exposure to application areas such as quality control, product formulation, and process optimization in food or feed environments.


Skills & Attributes

  • Strong understanding of analytical applications, including NIR, rheological analysis, and other related technologies.
  • Proven success in developing accounts and navigating complex sales cycles.
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with a “hunter” mentality.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to build credibility with both technical and procurement stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in both Thai and international business environments; good English proficiency (spoken and written) required.
